The international MIDO Eyewear Show, an event full of innovations for the eyewear industry that saw more than 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and visitors from 130 nations at the presentation of new technological frontiers, has concluded.
Among the many innovations at the fair was the presentation of the first experimental open innovation program dedicated to Districts and Supply Chains of the Foundation Open Factory program promoted by the Bilateral Body of Eyewear, Anfao, Certottica and Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti and aimed at Companies in the Eyewear Sector.
With the project support of Dolomiti Innovation Valley partners, the program involves accompanying them on a path of sharing and gathering innovation needs, with a view to creating a shared network of information and supporting the development of the sector through concrete and targeted initiatives capable of generating impact on the entire sector and production chain through the implementation of individual, concrete and shared projects.
Developed within the Dolomiti Innovation Valley territorial enhancement initiative, the program has the concrete goal of implementing collaborative innovation projects at the supply chain level, supporting Italian excellence in improving its business through contact and collaboration with national and international innovative realities.
The Elis Innovation Hub and Industrio Ventures team, guests at the booth of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, presented the program to the many national and international players present, arousing interest and curiosity.
From process and product certification along the supply chain to the new frontiers of smart glasses, from augmented reality viewers to AI-based supplier management platforms, the program coversinnovation across the board by testing and applying new multilevel, cross-industry innovation models. We thank the innovative realities Trakti, tracking and smart contracts, Transtec-Brochesia, pioneers of multi-application smart glasses, Functional-Soource, a supply chain management platform, and Metagate, cutting-edge augmented reality.
